In an effort to have a quick fix for the overwhelming hunger pains angrily growling in my stomach, I found a snack that provides a power-packed punch that quickly conquers my hunger and picks me up from my mid-day slump. This snack doesn’t require mixing, baking or preparing…it only requires three simple ingredients and within 30 seconds your new craving is satisfied.
Peanut Butter Banana Power-Snack

Organic Rice Cakes- Gluten Free
1 Tbsp Natural Peanut Butter (creamy or chunky)
1/2 banana (sliced)
Simply spread 1 Tbsp of natural peanut butter on your favorite flavored rice cake and cover with sliced banana....yes it is really that easy!!

I make this snack with organic rice cakes, which are gluten free, natural peanut butter and half of a banana. This healthy indulgence is the perfect pre or post-workout snack, which provides you with the energy you need to to get you through an intense cardio session, or recover from it, without making unhealthy choices.

This is a great pre-race breakfast! My mom swears by two of these (but she prefers sunbutter) and actually today it carried her through a half-marathon haha

Peanut butter + banana + crunch is a really great combo.
A touch of date syrup could be nice for the flavor and for the nutrients + extra (natural) sugar rush!
Thank you so much for your comments. This snack can be made with many variations. I have become addicted to this pre-workout snack..and have been surprised that even after an intense run or circuit training session, I don’t feel completely wiped out. This snack sticks with you…I love it! Hope you love it as much as I do…have fun creating your own combinations!
